Covid-19: Requirements for traders to sell at Flea London

We are putting in place a host of measures to ensure that Flea is able to operate safely. Protecting our staff, traders and the public is our top priority. You can read the steps we are taking here.

In order for you to trade at Flea, we will be asking the following from you:
  1. First and foremost, if you or any of your household have symptoms of Covid-19, please do not come. We are offering a fully flexible cancellation policy during this period because we would rather everyone is safe.
  2. We will be controlling load in and set up, and you may have to wait to set up.
  3. We will no longer be accepting cash payments for your pitch. You must pay online via PayPal. If this is not possible, we will accept contactless card payments on the day, but only by prior agreement.
  4. We would also ask that you no longer take cash payments wherever possible. There are many contactless card readers available for a minimal outlay (eg PayPal, iZettle, PayPal, Sumup), and they can easily be run from your smart phone.
  5. Please ensure you maintain social distancing at all times when on site as far as possible. You must serve customers from behind your stall, and not allow crowding around your stall. Remind your customers of the social distancing requirements if you see them deviate from the guidelines.
  6. You must stay within your allocated pitch area. We are unable to offer you your usual pitch and you must go wherever you are allocated.
  7. Do not allow customers to try clothing on, and minimise handling of products. Consider having returns information to hand out with purchases so that they know how to contact you if they need to return an item.
  8. You must have hand sanitiser at hand on your stall for use by yourself and customers.
  9. You should keep disinfectant wipes on your stall so that you can clean items that have been handled.
  10. You should wear a mask at all times when dealing with customers within 2m of you.
